Georgia received Homeowner Assistance Funds from the U.S Treasury through American Rescue Plan Act of 021. The funds serve to provide relief to homeowners who suffered financial hardships due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The Georgia Department of Community Affairs administers the funds through the Georgia Mortgage Assistance program. Assistance comes in the form of a Grant, up to $50,000 for eligible homeowners. This can assist with delinquent mortgages, property taxes, property insurance or utility bills.
